Website Maintenance Program

Beginning April 1 (no joke), I'll be starting my new website maintenance program. The quick version of this new service is this: if you'd like any updates done (by me) on your website, you'll need to be signed up for a monthly maintenance package.

All clients who aren't signed up for a monthly maintenance package will need to make updates to their site on their own (or find another provider).

But Why?

This allows me to focus my time and effort on clients that need regular updates to their website. It will help me prioritize those clients so they get the high level of service they deserve.

I have built hundreds of websites over the past decade or so, and many of those sites don't get updated or maintained on a regular basis (like they should).

Sometimes a client will reach out with a website issue and I haven't heard from them for several months or even several years. Often I will fix a broken site or make an update and not even charge them for it. But now that my time resources are a bit more limited, I can no longer do that.

Benefits of a Website Maintenance Package

So how does this new program benefit clients who sign up for a maintenance package? Great question! I'm glad you asked.

  • Daily updates to WordPress core, plugins, and themes.
  • Daily website backups
  • Immediate support for website issues (goes down, bugs, display issues, etc).
  • Same-day updates for content changes, additional pages, etc.
  • Priority email support for anything website related (including domain name questions, email issues, etc).
  • Your very own "web guy" on retainer who is ready to help when the need arises.
  • Easy to budget for website maintenance because the price is the same every month
  • Easier billing for me because of auto-debit (no more chasing late payments).

What happens if I don't sign up?

Great question. If you choose not to sign up for a monthly maintenance package, you'll be "on your own" when it comes to maintaining and updating your website. I will give you full administrator access/control of your site, and you are free to manage and maintain it yourself or find another provider to do this for you. I am happy to help you transition the site to a new provider as well. If you want to maintain the website yourself, I do have some generic training videos I can send you which may be of help.

To be clear, beginning April 1, if you need any help in regards to your website, I will be unable to help - unless you are signed up for a monthly maintenance package.
